Solar Farm Community Benefit

In January 2015 Newbold Pacey & Ashorne Parish Council was given a £115,000 Community Benefit Deed by Newbold Pacey Solar Ltd, following the energisation of the Elms Solar Farm.  The Parish Council awarded it's first grant of £4794 to Ashorne and Moreton Morrell Cricket Club in May 2025. The remaining capital was placed in a high interest account.

The Parish Council resolved to make at least annual awards from the interest gained on the invested capital over the previous year. This means the funds available for grants will rise and fall with interest rates.

Applications are welcome from any person or group which has a strong connection to Newbold Pacey and Ashorne, i.e. the person lives in either village or the group plays a regular part in the community and is used by the community.

The application form is attached. Please complete it and return it to the Clerk or any Parish Councillor
